Ballygowan Presbyterian Church

The church was built in 1837 and at present has some 700 families. In catering for the local community there is a wide and varied church programme. This includes Sunday School, Bible Class and Youth Fellowship; Bowls club; Midweek Fellowship; Senior badminton; Junior youth club; Girls' Brigade; Boys' Brigade; Mother and Toddler Group; Prayer circle; Choir and Presbyterian Women's Association. The large suite of church halls are unique in this part of County Down, the older building having served as an orphanage in earlier days.

The sacrament of the Lord's Supper is observed on the last Sunday of April and the first Sunday of November at Morning Worship and the first Sunday in January at Evening Worship.

Baptisims are normally on the third Sunday of each month.
